Its not easy trying to find a broadband provider at the best of times let alone when they start to throw all sorts of free offers and deals into the mix as an incentive for choosing their product.
In recent months the trend has been that broadband providers such as the three network bundle a free laptop with broadband as part of a package. This is an exciting trend and give many people the opportunity to get a new laptop while buying a product they may already have wanted.
There is of cause no such thing as a free lunch and the laptops that come as part of the bundle are only free in as much as they are come in addition to what you would normally receive if you were to buy broadband on its own.
There is however a premium for buying a free laptop with broadband package. You will have to sign up to a minimum term broadband contract and this will be more expensive than if you were to buy broadband on its own.
For a broadband free laptop package you could expect to pay around 15% more over the term of the contract than you would if you bought a laptop and broadband separately. While this may sound like you are paying well over odds, for some people having the opportunity to get a laptop with spread payments over 24 months is an ideal solution.
Overall while it may be cheaper to buy a laptop and broadband separately the latest free laptop with broadband bundles are still incredibly good value.
